Pepper Cross
Pepper Cross is an award-winning producer of PBS documentaries, and now finances, develops, and writes feature and short films and reality shows.
As a child in Spokane, WA, Pepper (then Denise Marie Thomas) grew up on the sitcoms of the 60s and 70s, developing a knack for humor and comedy, and was voted class clown at North Central High School her senior year.
Her first taste of showbiz came when she was cast in a commercial for Root 66 Root Beer at the age of 12.
She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Southern University A&M College and earned an MBA from Nova Southern University. She has produced seven PBS documentaries, two of which - Every Child Deserves A Home, and Community Ties (1st place winner in the Professional Category at the 1994 Naples Film and Video Festival) - were picked up for national PBS syndication. She then produced a local talk show at a PBS station in Orlando, Florida.
Pepper is now an independent producer of features, short films, and reality shows, and appears in the occasional extra role and bit part.
She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta and a longtime aspiring attorney.
